Hello fellow 8-bit Wikians and welcome to Sardapedia! Knowing quite a lot about Atomic Robo, I hope to do a lot of that while I'm here. Being Mod #3, feel free to ask me any questions if you need to...Otherwise, I'll be in the Final Fantasy Wiki should I be needed here...

Until I get some things straight, I'm going on a really, really, long wikibreak. I'll probably be back when I get the Vol. 3 trade though, so I'm not entirely gone. Stay tuned.

Editing Frequency: Wikibreak; unknown return date, possibly December

  • The subject of Guro

Might as well turn this into a text-based article rather than a video...I believe I could get the most description this way...

I recently stumbled into an Encyclopedia Dramatica article on Hentai. In case you don't know what hentai is, it's basically anime cartoon pornography in Japan. It turns out that hentai has many different subtypes, ranging from the normal porn, to the most sickest and grossest porn you've ever heard. Enter guro...mutilation, decapitation, and bloody porn.

Aughhh.....it was just...sickening, and....disgusting. The whole thing'll scar you for life! I mean, who gets turned on by these....things?! One of these examples of guro involved a girl committing hara-kiri naked, while another naked girl sliced her head off....oh, and there was another picture included some woman shooting out breastmilk, which decapitated a ninja's head off (awesome I know, but disgusting nonetheless). There was more, but I'm guessing those two descriptions might have gotten the gist of it. Now excuse me while a go to a corner and whimper...

*goes to a corner and whimpers*

  • Haruhi Suzumiya

Probably one of the most strangest characters I've ever seen, Haruhi Suzumiya is basically a mix of God and Selphie...with amnesia. Why? Because she can change reality to the point that she can destroy the world, and then remake it into a new one...but she doesn't even know that she has the power.

The central character behind the ongoing series of light novels "The ... of Haruhi Suzumiya", she's an energetic, enthusiastic, occult high school student. The leader of the SOS Brigade, which is some club devoted to alien/supernatural sightings and other oddities. In the club with her is Kyon, the "non-believer"/love interest who was forced into the club, Yuki, a quiet bookworm type with a monotonous voice who happens to be an "artificial human"/alien, Mikuru, a time-traveller with a cutesy-squeaky voice, and my least favourite, and last, Itsuki, the foreign exchange student who happens to be an ESPer (psychic person). As the story unfolds, the three other members reveal to Kyon their primary objective of being in the Brigade: to keep watch over and entertain Haruhi as much as possible so she doesn't get bored and change reality, and in turn destroy the whole world. Harsh.

As far as I know, Haruhi continues to be a mystery to me, which only adds to my increasing want to know more about her and everything about her world. If only I could actually get a hold of a light novel or an anime DVD, but the anime itself isn't a reliable source...D'oh.

I love her hairstyle. It really fits with her outfit. =)

  • Touhou Project (東方 Project)

Possibly the greatest doujin game ever created, Touhou Project (aka Project Shrine Maiden) is a series of bullet hell top-down shooting games. With the release of each game, the music gets more awesome, the pretty bullets get more vibrant, and we get to see more of the similarly-dressed almost-all-girl cast. It's a very challenging game, but of course, there's an easy more for newbies to the series. Besides the fact that it's a shooting game, there's a plot in each one. Enter Reimu, a shirne maiden in the fictional fantasy land of Gensokyo, where humans and mythological creatures (called youkai) live in harmony, separate from our modern world. She lives in an old shrine at the border of the land, and due to that, trouble goes towards her direction and she must always be prepared to stop it. The series becomes a universe in itself due to the large, throwaway cast of females you encounter as bosses, throwing intricate, deadly patterns of bullets at your way, and you must dodge them all while shooting your target.

It's a very addictive game, I never get tired of hearing the music in it. It's a mix of Oriental and Western styles of music, and always seemed to fit in seamlessly into gameplay, becoming a theme in itself to the boss encountered. Also, there's a chance that any bosses you meet in the last game becomes playable in the next, with their own styles of attack patterns. I really, really, recommend Touhou 7: Perfect Cherry Blossom. It's quick and easy to play, and one game should take less than half an hour (a coffee break should take about half the whole game).

If you'd like to know more, there's a separate wiki right here in Wikia: http://touhou.wikia.com/wiki/Touhou_Wiki
